The same crews that install slat ceilings in hotel lobbies build staircases and kitchen joinery for homes around Vancouver. It is the same standard of work — the difference is you are the one living with it afterwards, so the finish matters even more.

We build built-in cabinetry, staircases, timber ceilings, panelled walls and exterior cedar. Some of it is a single feature — a stair, a wall of joinery, a bench seat under a window. Some of it is every piece of finish carpentry in a renovation.

Working in an occupied home

Most of our residential work happens while people are still living there. Floors get protected, dust gets contained, and tools do not stay out overnight in a hallway you need to use. We treat it as somebody's home rather than a site.

On materials

Timber moves. A stair tread or a panelled wall that looks perfect on install day can open up a season later if the wrong material went in, or if it went in before the house had dried out. We will tell you when it is worth waiting, and when a different species or build-up will hold better in the long run. That conversation is usually cheaper than the callback.
